My journal and I in Oaxaca…Once in a while I will read what I wrote to see what I was doing/thinking at the time. Here’s a bit…
So I decided to go check out Teotitlan because it is one the places that the Dia de los Muertos is supposed to be more of an event than the city of Oaxaca. I met this guy named Ismeal that told me about various places and where to go for the day of the dead. I decide to go with him in a cab to the small town. A truly peaceful here you can hear the children laughing and thunder. I’m going to stay here for a couple hours then head back to Oaxaca. Stop to get a bite at a place called Dolizun Café . It was good and simple with black beans lettuce avocado tomatoes and jalapeno topped with Oaxacan cheese. 20 pesos and espresso for 17 pesos. This is a beautiful little town quiet, tranquil and the people are nice. I’m heading back to Oaxaca.Image may be NSFW.
